چکیده
The current trend is the use of biodiesel as an alternative fuel, one used cooking oil. Not many Indonesian people are aware great potential for utilizing oil or what commonly called (waste vegetable WVO, also known waste WCO and UCO). aim to minimize pollution used/used in surrounding environment environmental conservation, know characteristics quality requirements oil/used from dormitory X become according SNI 04-7182-2015 standards, well effect blending with PT Pertamina's Solar TBBM on opacity, performance exhaust emissions diesel engines. Test results test criteria smell, taste, visual color, water content, free fatty acids, acid number peroxide value do not meet standards 01-3741-2002, so they suitable consumption again because toxic. highest yield 81.33% lowest 61.7%. Analysis FAME content was 98.18% remaining 0.72% glycerol. methyl palmitate 47.57% 1.502% myristate. Density were 815 – 880, viscosity 2.3 6.0 cST, 210,667 366,750, ASTM Copper Strip color copper blade corrosion sequentially 3 class 1 A. opacity achieved at 3000 rpm rotation . Emissions hydrocarbons (HC) produce no HC average. Carbon monoxide (CO) average 0.05% by volume. Emission levels CO2 gas show 0.2%

Influence of Biodiesel from Egyptian Used Cooking Oils on Performance and Emissions of Diesel Engine
Due to diminishing petroleum reserves and the environmental negative effects of exhaust gases from diesel engines, alternative fuels for diesel engines are becoming increasingly important Egyptian waste cooking oils have special specifications because it expose to high temperatures during use for long hours. In the present experimental study, the performance and emissions of a four strokes, sin...
متن کاملBiodiesel Production from Used Cooking Oil
Production of biodiesel was involved transesterification process that implicated the reaction between used cooking oil and methanol with aid of KOH. The reaction was carried out at 15 min, 30 min, 60 min, 90 min, and 120 min to evaluate the effect of reaction time on the yield of fatty acid methyl ester (FAME). The highest yield of FAME was obtained at reaction time 60 min. Besides that, the yi...
متن کاملEngine Performance and Exhaust Emissions of Cottonseed Oil Biodiesel
The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between engine performance and emissions of cottonseed oil biodiesel used in a 14.2 kW diesel engine. When using cottonseed oil biodiesel blends, CO, total hydrocarbon (THC), NOx, and SO2 emissions decreased as compared to petroleum diesel. Carbon dioxide emissions had no definitive trend in relation to cottonseed oil biodiesel bl...
متن کاملDiesel Engine Performance and Exhaust Emissions Using Cottonseed Oil Biodiesel
Non-road diesel engines are significant contributors to air pollution in the United States (USEPA, 2004). These engines emit particulate matter (PM), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and other pollutants. The Clean Air Non-road Diesel Rule was put in place to reduce emission levels from agricultural, construction, and industrial diesel powered equipment. This rule calls for a reduct...
